Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy consists of an injection of a sclerosing agent directly into each capillary. This technique can be slightly painful. It requires no time off work but does however require an examination of the venous system and the wearing of support stockings after the treatment.

Several sessions might be required.

Fading of wrinkles

The wrinkle is injected with a viscous substance (collagen or Hyaluronic acid). This technique requires an allergy test some weeks prior to the injection. Treatment may be painful but can be performed under local anaesthetic. There is no need to take time off work.

The result is not permanent, as the product will disappear after 6 to 8 months.

Botulinum toxins

Treatment of wrinkles
The injection of botulinum toxins in the face muscles causes their paralyzation and so the fading of the wrinkles. The result is not permanent as the product disappears after 4 to 6 months.

Treatment is slightly painful and may be repeated 2 to 3 times per year. It does not require time off work.

Treatment for underarm hyperhidrosis
The injection interrupts the release of transpiration from the sweat glands.

The treatment consists in several subcutaneous injections in the areas of excessive transpiration.

This requires no anaesthetic and the treatment remains effective for 6 to 8 months.

Contra-indications:
-intake of anticoagulants / antiagregates (aspirin,…), muscle relaxants, calcium inhibitors…
-neuro-muscular conditions (serious myasteny, Lambert-Eaton syndrome)
-pregnancy and breast feeding

Permanent hair removal

Beware: the laser has no effect on colourless or downy hair
30 days prior to the treatment:

One is not allowed to:
-remove the hair with tweezers
--wax
-use depilatory creams
-bleach hair
-to expose oneself to the sun or UV lamps
-one must avoid taking any medication causing photosensitivity (tetracyclines, medication against malaria and, chloropromazine derivatives) one week prior to and during the treatment.

One is allowed to shave with a razor

- THE DAY OF THE LASER TREATMENT
the area to be treated must be shaven immediately prior to the treatment

- AFTER THE TREATMENT
any exposure to the sun or UV-lamps must be avoided during the four weeks following the treatment and the skin must be hydrated.

Secondary effects :
-In certain cases transient erythema may occur
-slight pain and swelling of beauty spots may arise but this will disappear soon after the treatment
Slight scabbing may occur due to carbonization of badly shaven little hairs but these will also disappear after a few days.

The vascular laser
Requires at least 4 session per treatment

Treatment protocol

Couperosis and other vascular marks
