This procedure is suggested to people who have lost a lot of weight, usually through gastroplasty and who are now left with excess skin on the inside of the thighs. This can be a real nuisance especially during the summer from a comfort and hygiene point of view.
The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic and requires 2 to 4 days hospitalization.
The excess skin is cut away at the inner thigh level.
Scarring is located in the natural skin folds of the thighs.
This procedure is combined with lipoaspiration of the thighs and the inside of the knees.
The procedure can be painful.
Work incapacity lasts from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the type of employment and physical strain during the week. |
